In this year’s St Cloud homecoming game, the Bulldogs and the Lake Toho Tigers were predicted to have a close scoring game in which St Cloud was expected to win.
Not only was this St. Clouds homecoming game, it was a conference game, an important game in helping them make the playoffs in November. During a rainy night, it was clear the Dawgs were going to rely heavily on the running game and stay focused on stopping Toho’s offence.
Throughout the 1st half the Bulldogs could not make any push on the line of scrimmage and both teams were stale mate. With a minute left in the half Koron Perrin ran the ball all the way down to the ten-yard line and the Dawgs had a fresh set of downs to punch the ball into the end zone right before the end of the quarter. The score was 0-0 closing in on the end of the 2nd quarter.
Unfortunately, Lake Toho made an impressive stop and both teams went into half time with no points. During the second half running back Ronny Ramos rushed for 1 touchdown. Patrick Forsyth caught a touchdown pass from Garhett King.
With their first conference win, the Dawgs hope to win another in their upcoming match against Celebration.
