The Best Heccin Doggo Ever(Murphy)

There’s a new dawg on the block,

Murphy, St. Cloud High School’s newest Educational Assistance Dog, is a hard working “bulldog” who works mainly with the Life Lab and ESE students. However, he does offer his services to staff and students when needed.

He comes from the PAWSitive Action Foundation, an organization that helps provide trained assistance dogs to veterans and those with special needs. All dogs from this foundation are named after war veterans. Murphy is named after the late Navy Seal Lt. Michael P. Murphy, a war hero who sacrificed his life in Afghanistan to get support for his team.

With the help of Mrs. Jennifer Wrona, Murphy’s caretaker, he is working on his Canine Good Citizenship, a training program from the American Kennel Club. He is still working on learning his commands but, is a very relaxed and good-natured dog. Murphy can be pet by students and enjoys it very much! However, when he has his vest on students must ask first since he is working. It is important to ask at any time, but Murphy understands he must work when he has his vest on and cannot be pet then.

Murphy isn’t at St. Cloud High all the time this year, but he will be here full-time next year! He’s still getting used to the campus and all the people here, so if you see him be sure to say hi to the newest addition to the Bulldog Family!
